Springtime Cleaning Hacks

Springtime can be considered by far one of the best times of the year. We get a mix of both warm and cold temperatures. It is nice to see the trees turn their vibrant green and flowers are starting to bloom. One of the most popular references used in American culture is “Spring cleaning”. This dates back to important dates for Jewish, Iranian, and Chinese cultures. Most cultures use “springtime” to implement new beginnings. We want to help you prep your spring cleaning by providing some tips and tricks.

  1. Make a Plan on what you should tackle first.
    1. It can be overwhelming to see all of the things that need to be done, but it is doable. It is all about setting reachable goals and dedication to getting the work done. Do what works for you. To-do lists are so helpful!
  1. Do your biggest cleaning first!
    1. This can include cleaning out your closet, pantry, have a carpet cleaning, mop the entire house, etc. Get this out of the way so that the rest of your cleaning is a breeze.
  1. Cleaning products
    1. This is a great time to decide what cleaning products work for you and your household. We recommend using EPA green-approved products that are safe to use around kids and pets. There is a way to avoid harsh chemicals while still producing the same outcome.
  1.  Clean things you don’t usually have a chance to
    1. This is the perfect opportunity to get those high dustings in! And you can’t forget about cleaning all of your glass surfaces. A useful tip would be to use color coordinating rags so that you minimize cross-contamination between surfaces.
