The kitchen is the place in a home where sustenance and community meet and bring about good wholesome memories. A clean kitchen creates a place of good health and safety for everyone, that is why a clean kitchen is just as important as all of the other areas in a home. There are some areas in your kitchen that will have the most food – possibly even the most food spills, the most food grime, and the most food rot! All of these shortcomings involving your food will mostly be in your fridge and in your oven. Blu Commercial Cleaning has refrigerator and oven cleaning tips for you that will keep them clean, sparkling, safe, and free from bacteria!
Refrigerator Cleaning:
- Remove all food from the fridge – this makes the next step easier!
- Remove all shelves and drawers – doing this will allow for an easier clean in the main construction of the refrigerator!
- Soak the bottom of the drawers with soap and water – just about one-fourth of the drawer will do it!
- Wipe down shelves as you wait for the drawers to soak – durable paper towels will work best since they must be disposed of afterwards!
- Wipe down the drawers once they are done soaking!
- Put all shelves and drawers back into their rightful places – once the refrigerator is done drying!
Cleaning Tips for Refrigerator:
- Line the shelves and drawers with paper towels or plastic wrap – this helps keep your shelves free from produce stains and other food residue!
- Wipe off products before putting them into the fridge – this rids your products of residue that has built up over time from manufacturer to your fridge shelf!
- Put raw meat in a container or on a plate – defrosting and packaging mishaps could create spills that a container and plate could easily catch!
- Use a vacuum will be helpful in getting up crumbs and other loose pieces of food – just make sure to empty it immediately after into your trashcan!
Oven Cleaning:
- To start the cleaning, use a vacuum to pick up any left over crumbs and food debris – make sure the oven’s pilot light is turned off!
- Remove oven rack – removing them helps for detailed cleaning!
- Wipe down the oven racks with a damp towel – then set them somewhere clean!
- Clean the inside of the oven down with soap and water – a green or metal scour pad would work best!
- Wipe down the inside of the oven with a damp towel/cloth – this will be repeated until oven is dry!
- Put back all oven racks once oven is ready!
Cleaning Tips For Oven:
- When looking for something natural to clean your oven with, mix a 1:1 ratio of baking soda and vinegar!
- If there is no space for you to clean the oven racks, then use your bathtub for that space!
- Start cleaning the oven with a vacuum to pick up all of the crumbs and other food debris before starting the wipe-down!
