Places you should be disinfecting

Surviving Winter

As we enter winter, we continue to fight unprecedented times that come with COVID-19 at Commercial Cleaning Chicago. Life before COVID seems so long ago, but we must continue to keep our spaces disinfected. We have broken down a series of ways on how we help keep facilities disinfected and sparkling clean.

Where to disinfect?

In a living area or your workspace, you should always try and disinfect the most touched items. All items that are used daily ESPECIALLY if more than one person uses those items should be on the top of your list to disinfect. Ideally, you should be wiping down after use, but most importantly there should be a wipe down after a day’s use.

In Offices, it is important to disinfect

  • Desks
  • Keyboards
  • Computers
  • Staplers
  • Phones
  • light switches
  • door knobs
  • Chairs

( ALL items that are normally used daily.)

In Homes it is important to disinfect:

  • Doorknobs
  • Light switches
  • Appliances
  • Drawers/ cabinets

(Again, items that are constantly touched daily.)

In-School spaces it is important to disinfect:

  • Desks should be disinfected after EVERY use if students are switching classes
What we recommend!

It is encouraged that disinfecting products are 99.9% disinfectant. If you come across a disinfectant that states it helps with the Covid and Rhinovirus, that would be the best option! The Rhinovirus is what causes illnesses such as the common cold. Disinfecting wipes are the best form of a disinfecting product because it is one and done. When cleaning you should never use the same rag or wipe for more than one area because you could be cross-contaminating. In that case, you would be spreading germs and bacteria instead of removing it.

At Blu Commercial Cleaning Chicago , we use an important color-coded towel system that is very important and makes sure we are limiting the amount of exposure each towel gets.

We also use Vitaloxide and Mediclean products for major projects. Click here for a recommended list of disinfectants by the CDC

Winter is coming and we are here to serve you during these times.
