Small Business is BIG business
Small Businesses are a vital part of communities locally and around the world. They bring small communities together during tough times. We saw this from March 2020 to the present day. Many small businesses faced hardships, and we had some flourish during the unpredictable nature we had to deal with in 2020. As we continue to look for a way to stay safe during these uncertain times, we would like to use our platform to talk about why small businesses across the world matter.
Why is it Important to shop small?
Shopping small means giving small businesses in your local community, and those beyond an opportunity to develop personal growth as well as communal growth. Local small businesses give an opportunity to those in a community to join in and create something that could be used internationally by millions of people. Of course many do not start their small businesses with this intent, instead, they cultivate their passions and provide a service for many to ease their lives.
Did you know?
- Companies with less than 500 employees make up nearly 50% of all U.S. jobs
- More than half of all U.S. sales take place in small businesses
- Small businesses make up almost a total sum of 99.7% of all American businesses
Why are small businesses better?
They provide hands-on customer service and detailed information about the services they offer. You always know what you are getting, there is a direct line from the business to the consumer. Small businesses also create a strong sense of community. For example, the feeling of ordering food from a local restaurant will give you better self-fulfillment than ordering from a national chain of fast-food restaurants. You would get the privilege of helping a business in your community boom while having something only you can have or try because it is not available everywhere. Some may travel long distances to try what you have in your community. Small Businesses in comparison to big businesses have offered greater opportunities for employment raising an economic impact locally, which then creates something BIG.
We have compiled a list of local businesses that are doing major business in their communities. Check them out below.
